John came to Camp Id-Ra-Ha-Je nine summers ago as a cook. He cooked for several years and then was offered the position of food service director. This means that John takes care of four main kitchens on camp. This entails staffing them, creating menus, ordering food to fill the refrigerators and shelves and other managerial type responsibilities. John absolutely loves the hospitality aspect of his job as well as the cooking. Being able to serve a good tasting meal to a group of hungry people is incredibly satisfying for him. John is one of those rare people who has a true servants heart.
            Because John is there to handle the responsibility of the kitchens the camp can host people from all over the world at times, churches and schools during the school year and hundreds of kids each summer to learn about Christ. Id-Ra-Ha-Je is a place for people to meet God and grow in him in an unforgettable atmosphere. It’s truly amazing how God grows, teaches and blesses this place.
